Why one sentence matters
A clear position gives every design choice, campaign and sales conversation direction. Without that sentence, every expression starts from scratch.
Step 1: remove empty words
Avoid words such as passion, unique and full service unless you can make them concrete. Strong positioning uses language people outside your company understand.
Step 2: define who you help
Not every customer is your best customer. The sharper the group, the sharper the message becomes.
Step 3: name the result
Do not only describe what you deliver. Describe what changes for the customer after working with you.
Step 4: make the approach specific
Your method, focus or perspective is what makes the promise believable. This is where a generic sentence becomes yours.
The final formula
Use this as a starting point: We help [audience] achieve [result] through [approach]. Then cut every word that does not add clarity.
